How to prepare for a Jubilee debate
To prepare for a Jubilee-style debate, research the topics, list the arguments you'll hear most, write short factual comebacks for each, practice out loud, and decide which two or three points you want people to clip and share.
1. Research the topics
Know the facts and the numbers, with sources, for every topic on the list.
2. Map the arguments
List the arguments you'll hear most, and rank them by how often they come up.
3. Write short comebacks
One or two sentences each. If you can't say it in one breath, it won't land on camera.
4. Practice out loud
Run the hardest exchanges with someone playing the other side.
5. Pick your clips
Decide the two or three points you want people to share, and find a way to make each one.
6. Stay calm
In a room of opponents, the calmest person usually wins the clip.
