What I think would be right as a country. We need to eliminate the Taxes people pay on a house that they own free and clear. My own parents have a hard time paying their bills now. With the prices of food and gas etc. going up. They own their house, free and clear. They work their whole life to pay off all their debt. But they have to pay those dang taxes on that house over and over again every year! And it keeps going up ! I just don’t think that’s right! You should only pay taxes once on something. So many people end up having to leave their own homes that they pay for just because they can’t pay the taxes. I think America should be better than that! Come on!

We should also consider split-rate taxing that taxes land more than non-land property. Taxing buildings disincentivizes development.
