BREAKING: Andrew Tate's DISGUSTING New Criminal Charges Officially Released
Andrew and Tristan Tate built an empire online promoting wealth, male dominance, and misogyny to millions of followers. On Saturday, U.S. Marshals arrested them in Miami on a UK extradition request. On Monday, they appeared in federal court in handcuffs and jail uniforms, and vowed to fight it.
The Charges
Andrew Tate, 39, faces 42 charges in the UK. According to the Crown Prosecution Service, that includes seven counts of rape, three counts of arranging or facilitating sex trafficking, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and 19 charges relating to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography.
Tristan Tate, 38, faces 17 charges: one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape, and three counts of arranging or facilitating sex trafficking.
Both brothers were already facing earlier UK charges before this latest set. Andrew previously faced 10 charges including three counts of rape, four of actual bodily harm, two of human trafficking, and one count of controlling prostitution for gain. Tristan previously faced 11 charges including three counts of rape, six of actual bodily harm, and two of human trafficking.
British prosecutors said the newest charges relate to four additional victims, bringing the total number of accusers in the UK case to seven. The alleged offenses took place in the East of England, north of London, between 2010 and 2017.
Newly unsealed U.S. court documents describe some of these allegations directly. One woman says Tristan Tate raped and assaulted her during a long-term relationship beginning in 2012, including at least once while she was unconscious. The filings describe complaints from women alleging they were choked, at times to the point of passing out, and raped.
What Happens Next
The brothers remain in federal detention. A U.S. district judge will decide in the coming weeks whether they meet the legal conditions for extradition. Another hearing is scheduled for July 27.
Normally seen in tailored suits, the brothers appeared in tan jail uniforms, handcuffed and shackled at the waist and ankles, at Monday’s hearing. Neither spoke.
Their Defense
Their attorney, Joseph McBride, told reporters the brothers are innocent and are fighting extradition on that basis. He noted that neither has been convicted of a crime in either the UK or Romania.
McBride also argued that the UK’s request conflicts with the brothers’ ongoing legal proceedings in Florida and Romania, and that a longstanding understanding between UK and Romanian authorities means the UK should not pursue extradition while the Romanian case remains active.
The Romania Case
This is not the brothers’ first entanglement with sex-crime allegations.
Romanian prosecutors charged both brothers in 2023 and again in 2024 with human trafficking, sexual abuse, money laundering, and forming an organized criminal group. In December 2024, a Bucharest court found the first case could not proceed to trial due to legal and procedural irregularities and sent it back to prosecutors. The charges were not dropped. A second human trafficking case remains ongoing. The brothers deny all charges in Romania as well.
